　　Recently, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Machinery Industry Federation jointly held the 2012 New Year Report and Networking Meeting. Leaders from the China Machinery Industry Federation including Wang Ruixiang, Xue Yiping, Cai Weici, and Lu Renqi, as well as Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Zhi Min, Yao Jie, and others attended the meeting.

　　The networking meeting was hosted by Dong Yang, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. On behalf of the association, he reported to the leaders of the China Machinery Industry Federation on the situation, achievements, and existing problems of the automobile industry in 2011, the work done by the association in 2011 in member services, strengthening government-enterprise relations, conducting research projects, economic operation and analysis, information services, external exchanges, and internal development, as well as the work plans for 2012.

　　Wang Ruixiang affirmed the basic positioning, work approach, methods, key focuses, and objective results of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers' work. He stated that the association has leveraged its organizational advantages in industry development, proactively carried out work, and has great potential. The China Machinery Industry Federation will continue to support the association's work as always. Wang Ruixiang pointed out that to successfully upgrade the automobile industry, the key lies in independent brands, and it is important to strive for national policy support.
